I have 3 brand new Rio Receivers. After seeing what they go for on ebay, I've determined that route isn't worth the expense or bother. If someone would like to take all three for $30 + shipping, let me know. Please, save them from the trash.

It would be truly sad for such sexy things to end up in the trash.
If you were closer I'd drop by and grab one, but three I don't need.

I'm in the same boat - we just unpacked some stored boxes from before our move, and I pulled out 2 Rio Receivers (1 Dell, 1 Sonic Blue) that I thought I sold before the move.

They work great, but I have 4 Squeezeboxes now, and no need for another zone (was using Slimrio previously). Curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to check how well they work, and I found -

1. Yes, the original 1.4 beta receiver software still works, even in Windows 7 (pro, 32-bit)
2. SlimRIO works, and works pretty good in my (limited) testing - even got it to play Pandora, which (I think) technically shouldn't work since it's not supported on a SliMP3.
3. Works for streaming (MP3) radio, my main use is OPB up here in Portland.

The nice thing about them is that the the integrated power supply and amplifier make a great sound station for a home office or bedroom. The downside is that you either use the original software (great, but limited), replacement software (buggy, unsupported), or SlimRIO (good, easy to set up, but funny display).

Anyway, if Rob's sold his and there's interest, I'll send these anywhere in the US for USPS shipping (Probably $12.95 for 1, $20? for 2). Mine aren't new, but good to great condition.

Well, one of my Rio Receivers has just died and I would like to get another one to replace it. I'm in Canada, but would be willing to pay shipping - if it isn't too crazy.
I still use Trio and jreceiver believe or not and the set up still works fine...
